Securing your date

How early to book, how to check availability, and what happens once you sign.

Congratulations. You are engaged, and planning your future together has begun. Amid the ring selfies and congratulatory messages, one big question usually comes up first: when is the day?

Setting a date anchors your whole wedding planning process. It shapes everything from your color palette to the availability of the vendors you want most.

At our farm, we know finding the right date is about more than picking a number on a calendar. It is about choosing the season that fits your style, finding a time that works for your loved ones, and securing the backdrop for your day. We are here to guide you through securing your date and to keep the process simple and personal.

Why early booking matters

One of the most common questions we hear is how far in advance a couple should book. The honest answer: as soon as you fall in love with the venue.

Venues that offer the charm of a garden wedding often book up 12 to 18 months in advance. In Florida, our peak seasons are typically spring, March through May, and fall, October through December. During these months the weather is often ideal for an outdoor wedding: the humidity drops, the evenings are cool, and the natural landscape is at its best. Because these dates are in high demand, they tend to go quickly.

Booking early gives you the gift of time. You get first pick of vendors, since top photographers, caterers and DJs often book just as far out as venues. You get less stress, because knowing your date is set lets you pace your planning instead of rushing. And you give your out-of-town guests plenty of notice, which helps them find better travel deals and means more of your loved ones can attend.

If you have your heart set on a specific Saturday in April or November, reach out right away. If your timeline is shorter, do not worry. We sometimes have unexpected openings, and Friday and Sunday dates offer the same setting at a different pace.

Our goal is not just to fill a calendar slot; it is to help you find the day that starts your marriage.

How to check availability

We believe in transparency and ease. You should not have to jump through hoops to find out if your date is open, which is why we keep an up-to-date availability calendar on our website. Before you even schedule a tour, you can glance at the calendar to see which weekends are free and start narrowing down your options with your partner and family. Whether you are picturing a sunset ceremony under the oaks or a reception in the open-air barn, checking our calendar is a good first step.

The booking process

Once you have a season or a few dates in mind, the process is simple. First, schedule a private tour. We never want you to book sight unseen; pictures are beautiful, but they cannot capture the feeling of the breeze through the trees or the quiet of the countryside. We will walk the grounds together, talk through your vision, show you the ceremony and reception spaces, and answer your questions.

Second, hold your date. If you visit and get the feeling that this is the one, tell us, and we will talk through the date you have in mind.

Third, make it official. To reserve your date we require a signed contract and a deposit. Once those are in, the date is yours.

Flexibility and family support

We are a family-owned business, not a corporate chain, and that means a level of flexibility and personal care you might not find elsewhere. We understand that life happens: maybe your dream date is taken, or your timeline shifts because of family circumstances. We work with you to find a solution, whether that is an alternative date that fits your budget or the same seasonal feel you are looking for. Our goal is not just to fill a calendar slot; it is to help you find the day that starts your marriage.

Ready to start planning

Your wedding date is the first page of a new chapter. Whether you want a grand celebration or an intimate gathering, we would love to help you find it. Check our availability and schedule a tour, or reach out and we will help you find the day that works.
